Jewel Got Her Tooth Fixed!!!

No, its not what you think, not the snaggle tooth shes most famous for, but the one next to it. Jewel wrote on her blog that the got the tooth next to it fixed which was being pushed back and gave her a toothless looking smile. She said that her dentist

“suggested braces. I said I’d rather not, as I don’t want perfect teeth… He said I was the only person in the history of his career who asked not to make the teeth look ‘too good.’

So what did they do instead? They put on a cap to act as a spacer so that her famous snaggle tooth can stay intact.

Well, I have lived in Texas for 16 years and dont care for it all that much, too much ego from some Texans, i think im just bound to be a Tennessean haha but anyways well I guess since Jewel has finally married PBR/Rodeo star Ty Murray and has been living on their ranch in Tyler Texas for 10 years now she wrote on her blog that she is now considered a Texan and is registered to vote here and has sold her LA home to live in Texas full time.

"Aint in Checotah Anymore...."

According to NewsOK Oklahoma officials have removed all 4 signs leading to Carrie Underwood's hometown that read "Checotah: Home of Carrie Underwood, American Idol 2005". Why you ask? They have been taken down from Interstate 40 and U.S. 69 due to regulations limiting signage along state highways, but they will be reposted somewhere else within the city limits.

New Taylor Swift DVD

Now, Im not a big Taylor Swift fan, but everyone is entitled to their own opinions. But if you are a huge Taylor Swift fan, then I've got great news for you! Her CMT Crossroad special will be released on DVD June 16th, which happens to be the same day that the CMT awards are where both Taylor Swift and Deff Leppard will appear. Where can you buy this DVD? Well it will be only sold at Walmart's and Sam's Club as well as Walmart.com. But in addiction to to the music presented on TV, there will be extended and new interviews with the artists and never-seen perfomances. Awesome!

Any PBR Fans?

Well I have been a PBR (Professional Bull Riders- created by Ty Murray) for about 5 years now and one of the newly Ring of Honor recipients, Justin McBride, who is a 2 time world champion and a VERY sweet guy recorded a CD with a few big Nashville hits on it including Brad Paisley's "Bigger Fish to Fry" and a few ones that he wrote with some HUGE Nashville songwriters. Well it turns out that while PBR is making their stop in Nashville at the Sommet Center, Justin McBride will be making his GRAND OLE OPRY DEBUT!!!! I NEVER thought I would see him up there, but its AWESOME! He is playing August 14th, and hopefully I can make it out to that show but we will have to see. So random, but exciting! lol

Julianne Hough: Movie Star?

Well its not for sure yet! But we will find out soon! It has been rumored for quite awhile that Julianne would take part in the new remake of "Footloose". And though it is not confirmed that she is for sure in the movie, Paramount confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that she is still in the running for the spot. The statement is below:

"A Paramount spokesperson confirmed to EW that Dancing With the Stars’ Julianne Hough will screen-test this week. Hough's recent success as a country music star could give her an advantage. Says Meron, "It’s a much more singing-intensive movie for the female lead."

I guess only time will tell! I honestly think it would be cool to see her in a movie, but it would be nice to see her spend a full year concentrating on JUST her music. I think im just jealous of all of her talent and beauty maybe hahaha

Im so sorry I havent posted since this morning, I was out and about all day running errands trying to get things done in time. But im back and the postings will begin to occur more often now!

I'm Not Alone

Well it seems that I'm not the only one that has trouble falling asleep somtimes at night, Taylor does too! She even blogged aout it at 2:47 am.:

"So.. This is not smart. This. Being awake at 2:47 AM. You know why? Because my wake up call is at 5:00 AM. I'm playing on the Today show tomorrow/in a few hours, and I'm very excited about it. So excited, in fact, that I haven't really gotten around to sleeping. I've found my attention being drawn to so many different things that I can't possibly sleep. For example: My hotel room has motion censor lighting. So when I stand up or anything moves on the floor, these little lights come on at your feet to show you where you're going. No light switches needed. In my delirious state, I've been making jokes with myself. Every time something triggers the censor lighting, I say "Witchcraft!" or "EVIL!". Then I laugh hysterically. Then I sit there for a few seconds absorbing how lame I sound/look/am at this very moment in time. At 2:47 AM. Talking to the motion censor lighting."

ok well maybe not exactly like that, i dont randomly yell out "witchcraft! or evil!" but at least she kept herself entertained! haha its cute

John Rich update

Music City news found a statement that John Rich's attorney released talking about his arrest and everything else going on. Also, John was released on a 3,000 bail and wasnt in jail that long, his mug shot is above and the statement is below:

“This entire ridiculous situation is nothing more than an effort by singer, [and former Nashville Star contestant] Jared Ashley [pictured here], and music row attorney Chris Sevier, to try to obtain money from me. Mr. Sevier and Mr. Ashley have falsely accused me of misdemeanor crimes. I trust that the truth will come out through the process of our American justice system and that I will be completely exonerated at the end of the day.

“It’s unfortunately common in my line of work that there are a very small number of people who want to take advantage of another person’s success and try to get something for nothing. I truly did make every effort to work this out in connection with the defamation lawsuit I filed against Mr. Ashley.

“Yesterday, I decided that a civil settlement would be impossible due to the fact that Mr. Ashley and his attorney demanded that I pay Jared Ashley 2.9 million dollars, even though he is the one who has defamed me. He has now chosen to bring these false charges against me.

“Ultimately, and out of principle, I will not allow myself to be coerced into paying 2.9 million dollars to Mr. Ashley and his attorney Chris Sevier in exchange for dropping these frivolous misdemeanor charges. I intend to defend myself through the legal process to the fullest extent of the law.”

um, so there you go! I cant even keep up with this story anymore, it never ends. lol

John Rich Turns Himself Into Police!

Well so yall have all heard about this whole dispute and lawsuits between John Rich and Jared Ashley, well according to TMZ, John Rich turned himself into the police today, heres the report:

"Rich turned himself in to the Metro Davidson County Criminal Justice Center in Nashville, Tenn. this afternoon to face misdemeanor charges of assault and harassment stemming from an alleged altercation between the two. Rich and Ashley have both filed civil lawsuits against each other -- Ashley sued Rich for the alleged assault, and Rich sued back for defamation.

Rich, in a statement released by his lawyers, claims that since he can't reach a settlement with Ashley, he'd rather defend himself "through the legal process to the fullest extent of the law." He says, "I trust that the truth will come out through the process of our American justice system and that I will be completely exonerated at the end of the day."

Well it seems that this story just never ends!

I just downloaded the app (For FREE!) today and I must say its a pretty awesome app!

Can't Handle the Pressure?

Earlier today CountryMusicTattleTale.com had posted that Kenny Chesney's camp came up with a new policy that caused quite a stir.

"****Camera/Video Policy Change****
Hey Gang! Effective June 1st, 2009 folks will no longer be allowed to carry cameras into Kenny’s concerts. Cell phones and cameras with recording devices have made it impossible for us to honor our contractural obligations with our partners and record label of prohibiting recordings and such. The ones that have chosen to ignore all of the repeated request and warnings have left us with no other option but to enforce a NO Camera Policy at shows. As always, your bags will be checked at the door and you will NOT be allowed admittance with a camera in hand. To avoid long walks back to the parking lot, Please leave them in your vehicles. The security detail will be seizing any unauthorized cameras found inside the gates. Please help us make this transition an easy one. We know it isn’t an ideal situation, but our numerous request have gone unnoticed and this is our only way of stopping the unauthorized recording of Kenny’s shows it."

After I read that this morning i was, pretty much horrified. I remember going to a small concert with Jason Michael Carroll/Andy Griggs/Bombshel and they wouldnt allow cameras and well....it totally ruined the fun since i was 3rd row! They even confiscated cameras and not being able to document a fun time is well not fun! lol. I <3 taking pictures and even have mabe 14 photo albums of concert pics? but anyways besides the point later today Kenny Chesney World just posted an update after TONS of Kenny fans began to complain and call his management, etc about the issue. This was just released:

New message - Hey Gang! Want to clear something up! Yesterday, I posted a message…for 5 minutes tops at our message board ONLY. After posting, I received a call that they had decided to make a last ditch attempt to eliminate the recording of music at the shows and continue to allow cameras.

"Cameras will be allowed at the shows for STILL photos only! However, if you are caught videoing with your camera or your cell phone…you are subject to lose them. Please help us keep cameras at the shows….by not using the recording devices on your electronic devices. We will have increased personnel at the shows helping us out with this, so we ask that all of you please let your fellow fans know that videoing is not allowed….if you happen to see them doing it at a show.

This is an ongoing problem…and we want you guys to be able to have photos to carry home…but not videos! Thanks for helping us out with this…."

Whew! Thank goodness they changed their minds! Otherwise there would be ALOT of unhappy fans!

Joe Nichols to head to Iraq

Joe Nichols will be leaving for a ten-day USO tour and is set to leave on June 1st.

"I think it is a huge honor to get to go play for the troops who have been working their tails off for several years, some with several tours under their belt,” says Joe. “If we can bring a little bit of home to those guys and girls that are really working hard and really sacrificing a whole heck of a lot then that would be really cool.” He also adds, ”These guys really need a piece of home right now, and times are tough for everybody - especially our military,” says the singer. “For me to go offer a little bit of a good time to them, it’s certainly our honor.”

Kellie Pickler has been forced to cancel last night's show in Salt Lake City and tonight's in New Mexico due to illness. Though she has seen the doctor and is on medicine and hopes to get over her bronchitis quickly and be back on the road!

Well, it seems that every year CMA Celebrity Close up with Lorianne Crook during CMA fest has been a hit, especially since Taylor Swift made an appearance at it last year. But according to reports from Crook & Chase's website, there will be no CMA Celebrity Close Up this year and there is no explanation or if it will be back in future years.

So sad! :(

So for all of ya'll who are trying to figure out their daily CMA Fest schedules like me will now be able to breathe a sigh of relief, Chuck Wicks has just announced his Fan Appreciation Concert info for the event during CMA fest:

Tickets: $10 benefiting the American Cancer Society

How it works:

After you purchase your $10 ticket that benefits the American Cancer Society your name will then be placed on the list for the show. Then all you have to do is show up at the venue BEFORE 12:30 with an ID and then they will let you in the doors. If you purchase multiple tickets they must be with you! Also these tickets are a first come first serve deal so act fast!
